"Fixing the computers" is just one of those cute but useless things they do, kind of like "Thinking about cooking" or "Studying a recipe." There's really nothing wrong with the computers.

The "uh-uh" with head-shaking or a puff of smoke indicates that she failed at a round of work. It means she tried but didn't succeed. It happens quite often when they are new and lower level in their careers, but still happens some at the higher levels too. She just needs training and encouragement.
Arnie made some good suggestions for you. You can praise twice in a row for work, then switch to something else and praise for it, then move back to work, to avoid getting the "nagging" message. Just be careful not to tire her out. Eventually she'll be able to complete a round of work. She'll be very excited and proud when she does (and I'm sure you will be too.)
