I got this only a couple of days ago and posted about it here: A perfect match. I think someone calculated that there are more than a hundred different careers, so the odds against getting two peeps with the same job are pretty large. I didn't do anything special to get the perfect match. He turned down two suitors before choosing the third, but that was really because in both cases they said "No way" to kids.

I had one of my people adopt a child as soon as they took over and so waited it out. It was either the 4th or 5th proposal. But I also saw someone post on here that their person turned 50 without a perfect match proposal. For the rest of my families I figure it will happen eventually. (I hope)

I am in the same boat. Most of my families are just left with perfect match and the non-existent bugs. Today with much sadness I have started a couple of them over. It is a hard one and the couple of fams that have it was just by pure luck.

Hmmm I am glad I didn't know this was rare lol. In my family number 3, when the oldest inherited, I found she was a hacker. I turned down two proposals (because they were in different rooms) and bingo! Third proposal was another hacker...they had 5 kids and made lots of money, but alas, I spend it as quick as I make it on treats for them lol, trying to keep them happy. I, too, am having a rough time on the insects. I check my families three times a day; when I get up, in the late afternoon, and just before bed (around 11 or 12). First thing I do I check their groceries and buy them but DON'T give them to them yet. Then I have someone prepare the meal, everybody eats...anyone sick gets doctored, they all get baths and then I have my Mom and Dads try to make a baby...some of them are so out of sync it is hilarious...especially when Dad has left to watch TV and Mom is still bouncing on the bed and BANG, gets a baby! Not too good for young teens or children that might think that is really true rofl!!!

The first proposal of my 5th generation was a perfect match. When my peep was going to the computer to check her email I was thinking,"Basket Maker...Basket Maker...Basket...Maker..." When she got to the computer and I saw they had the same career I nearly jumped out of my chair!

I have 5 families going, 4 are in 7th generation and 1 is in 8th. I've had only 1 Perfect Match and it was in Family 4 around the 4th generation. It's also my only family that has had triplets and has had them twice (different generations). All my other families are waiting on Perfect Matches but if they don't get one by age 45, and no children have come "knocking on the door", I let them marry whoever next proposes to them and start the baby-making so there is someone left to carry on the family name.

hi
i'm on my 5th generation, so i thought it was time to get the perfect match trophy i 'm wondering, if it has to be the exact same career, my guy is a personal cook. or if it can be one in the same area, like pastry baker or candy maker or what not,say kitchen work. cos i rejected quite a few ladies and not one was too poor to get the marry for love trophy or had the exact same career, but a few were kitchen area jobs. my guy ain't getting younger this way ;-)

I do just as Xay said. Once they hit 45, I marry them off to whomever comes along next so they have a chance of having at least one child. Of course, there is always the chance that an orphan will show up on your doorstep and you can adopt them. But if that doesn't happen and you have no natural offspring, your game will end when the adults die.
That just happened to one of my families a few days ago and I started a new game in that game slot. When I went to do things like turning the TV off for the boob tube trophy or praising someone for preparing a meal for that one, I had to laugh---it seemed SO long since I got those trophies for my previous family, as it was in about its 6th or 7th generation when it ended. Talk about starting over from scratch, lol.
