I'm deliberating purchasing this game, but one thing I have noticed is that, from time to time, pressing the stylus down on the screen and dragging, which should allow me to move around the land, is not doing anything at all. I end up backing up into the Map image, then retap on the area I want to go to. Is this issue common? Do you know what might be going on? It is a less than one-month old Palm TX.

You know, come to think of it... I had that problem for a while too. Mine was a screen protector issue though, so I don't think that would be your problem with a new device.

I bought new screen protectors that were a better quality than what I had been using, and the stylus "grabbed" well after that. Some screen protectors are just too slick.

I have that problem when I don't have the game on full-screen and I try to make the window larger. It's like it gets larger but the cursor still thinks the window is small and I can't grab anything. It's very annoying.

Those posts are actually talking about the Palm version of the game - Village Sim.

The problem that you are describing with Virtual Villagers is caused by trying to resize the game window. Since the game's resolution is fixed, resizing the window will misadjust the calibration and you will have to exit and restart the game to recover (unless you're very good at putting the window back to the correct size)!

The only way to avoid that problem is to leave the window size alone!
