i lost all my progress cuz i had to start the computer over from scratch

I've been there. It wasn't a virus, but I lost them all - 3rd, 4th & 5th gens. I feel for you. I was so sickened and mad I almost stopped playing... but I was addicted and was back in a day or so. I added some mods to make the game a little different. I don't know why, but making the house and game screens different made me miss my old families a little less.

I'm so terrified of that happening that every time I close the game I save the LDW folder to a pendrive.

Moonlyght, you're always making me giggle! That's even worse than me! I thought I was bad for making backup copies every morning and every night on uhmm... I don't even know how many families I have now. lol (It's 7 windows users, some don't have 5 families going though.)

*laughs* Oh yeah, I think I'm going to need some medical treatment pretty soon if I keep going like that! *laughs*

But better safe than sorry is what they say, so... I'm the safest I can be! *lol*

The point here was that I was in the middle of my 2nd or 3rd generation and my computer crashed. My husband's job is dealing with computers so I immediately cried for help. He manage to fix ii quite fast, but that were actually terrible moments for me. I kept thinking about all the collectibles I've got, all the trophies I was going to loose and - even worst! - my family dying of hunger!

And - to make matters worse - my husband (seeing how tormented I was) kept repeating: "see? haven't I told you to backup your files?"

It was after this dreadful moment that I started doing this.

Ok, now I'm going to call a shrink. *lol*
