I still have to get 2 rare bugs to finish my collection, but it really seems impossible. Just need those 2 to get 3 more trophies (for the bug collection, all collections and trophy master - or something like that.)

Ya know, I just had one of those weird days with one family. I used the bottled rain and I got 1 common, 1 uncommon and 1 rare, plus 2 leaves/twigs. This family had like 2 bugs (they don't even have the millipede!), 4 common twigs, 5 photo pieces and 10 coins.

I really think it's just random, but maybe...and I could be wrong, but it seems as if I got the "collectable rush" on Friday evenings (Korean time -9 GMT).

Actually, I'm not worrying so much about getting the collectables though. They'll come eventually....right??

As is usually the case with Murphy's Law, once I posted this, I saw my first rare bug - a blue butterfly. Unfortunately, I did not actually hit the pause like I thought, and I lost it before I could get my girl there.

What I find amazing is the shortage of snails in the game. At my real home whenever it rains hundreds of snails appear.

I have 5 games running and have found every collectable but not for a single family.

I am beginning to wonder if we don't see certain collectables, especially the rarer ones, until we reach a certain generation level. My "oldest" family is on their 7th generation, and I am just now getting some of the bugs, etc, that I have been waiting for. Just a thought.

I was thinking the same thing Jenny, but I'm not so sure about it. In fact, it seems to be getting more and more difficult for the rare collectibles to appear (at least for me).

What is terrible is that we have no control on that, I mean, there is nothing we could do for the bugs to appear (apart for the rain thing).

Well, I think we can say that Virtual Families is a waiting game.
