ok its a silly question, but my first family has over a million dollars. i know in PT and FT the max price is 9999. they have gone way over that! i could have parents with $0 dollar careers (not possible just an example) and they could live off interest for the next gazillion generations! is there a max amount of money they can earn? or will they have like 20 million? im not complaining, just asking! i love the fact i can buy whatever i want without worrying they will run out of food!!!!

While it does not appear that there is a limit on how much money our peeps can earn. I have noticed that once you hit the 10 million dollar mark, the family bank account screen gets confluky with the bar graph. Although it does not seem to affect the game the bar graph doesn't represent correctly the growth of money. I have attached two screen shots of my first family. They currently have over 91 million dollars and once they reach 100 million, I will probably just pause the game and wait for VV4. I keep wishing for an "event" that will wipe out the family funds so, there is more of a challenge. I have five families running and the other four all have at least 46 million dollars so much of the fun is gone from playing and despite all the beautiful mod's that you use to switch up the houses, its pretty boring at this point. The first screen shot is of family 1 once they hit 20 million and the 2nd screenshot is the same family at their current balance. thehappymrs

Oh, that goes when you have nothing to spend money on! I myself am on my 17th generation and have all the things I could get from the game, so the money just comes, never goes. I just got a printscreen for you to see how much money I have (unfortunately just in the game! )

The best thing you can do to increase the amount of money is to let it accumulate interest. The money earns 10% interest per day, so if you spend only what you need to spend on food and medicine, you'll soon have a lot more money available. It takes a little while to build up at first, but soon you'll be earning a lot of interest. For example, once you have a $5000 balance, if you limit your spending to necessities, you'll have at least $5500 the next day, $6050 the day after that, then $6655, then $7320, and so on.

Now I found out why sometimes I used to hear a coin sound and the money increased all of a sudden. Thanks Barbara!

I've sometimes noticed this, and have been meaning to mention it. I'm seeing something very similar. I'm not sure, but the game sometimes seems to 'save up' the money, then add it in bulk. For instance, if I collect a duplicate common collectible, no $5 gets added, but if I then pick up an uncommon one, the total of $20 does get added. It's not always as simple as that, as I never really know what the peeps are earning for each payment, but the bank account usually looks OK, more or less.
