Hey, no shame in loving the hair styles, I certaintly do! I've had about 4 or 5 peeps whose hair I've loved and so far, it's not been any of the guys! laughgrin

Glad to know I'm not the only one. I'm so addicted that I started 5 new families so now I have 10! Oh dear! eek

I'm having enough trouble remembering how the peeps in my three families are getting on. I don't think I could run five at once, let alone ten, without losing track. shocked

I have decided three is my limit too. I get a little obsessed with the families and spend too much time with just the 3. Can't imagine 5 or 10 laugh

I tried running both Virtual Families and Virtual Villagers (I was starting the game for the 2nd time) at the same time. Too much information for me *laughs*

So I left VV and just stayed with VF. smile

Yeah, me too. My youngest boy is playing VV and I try to help him by looking things up for him but I'm just no good on concentrating on too many things at once. blush

I've got 10, but 5 are on the computer in the city I live in for my job and 5 are on the computer where I spend weekends and holidays. I've got 3 day games and 2 night games on each one, so it's not too difficult to keep track.

Moonlyght, I had just started Plant Tycoon for the 3rd or 4th time and I had to quit...I kept forgetting my plants!

3 is my limit, too.
I usually catch 2 rainstorms/day for each family - that's more than enough scouring the lawns for me! lol

Right now the ages are spread out nicely. I've got an elderly couple, a couple with a house full of kids who will start moving out today and a set of newlyweds.

*Embarassed* I have 30 families going. I haven't had a problem keeping track yet. It always balances out because the older ones I just check in on and clean up and make sure they are fed. The ones with kids I spend a little more time with. All of my collections are going nicely even though I hate doing it. Would much rather read stories and tickle and watch movies!! Thinking of starting a new one for night but haven't yet.

I have 12 families and will be starting # 13 (for the Virtual Families Alphabet Challenge) as soon as I find a little time, since starting a new family takes at least two hours to really set them up well in their new home.

I had 5 but got bored, deleted them all, and now only have 2. It works much better for me, as I feel less like I'm doing the same thing over & over again every day. I have no idea how I'd find the time for double figures!

I was able to start a thread without knowing it. Haha! grin I think 10 families would be my limit. I have to study for a very important exam and I haven't had the time to do so because I always end up spending my day with my families so 10 would be it for me. I'm not so good with time management. smile

Since so many others are playing lots of games I've started a new game in a fresh slot, so I'm now playing the grand total of four.

I had 10 families, but gave up my second user name so lost 5 of them. I feel sort of guilty when they have their dishes done and house all cleaned and in order, then I look around at my own house. Maybe I can hire one of those kids to keep up my house so I can play on the computer all day--oh wait, I already do that!

This may sound stupid, but do you have to have a computer or a new copy of the game for each 5 families, or...? I just started my 4th. One I am running for my hubby, but I do most of the work.

I have one main family which I keep updated in my avvie, one rainbow-haired test family which I fell in love with smile and another test family to help with my mods.

petralamb: When someone wants to make another 5 families, they'll make another copy of the game on their computer with a different name..there's a lot of great suggestions in this thread.

I've got two on the go at the moment, but will probably start another. I love that 'new' feeling as well as the 'new generation' one. Besides, one of my families have the childsren from [censored]! Total couch spuds. Despite praising and encourraging them to do things like PLAY in the sand, pool, or with toys - even chasing gopher's will do! all they ever want to do is slob in front of the tv.

I swear the next time that remote 'goes missing' it will STAY missing grin blush

My other one is just mom and Pop left. I'm laughing at Pop's 'mature moments' He had a black mohican hairdo but has had it all chopped short and sports what I'd swear looks like a tattoo on the side of his head. ( a big dark blue round circle with a strike through it and unreadable words in the middle. ) Mom goes around shaking her head, obviously in despair of him.

I'm awaiting either Strawley or Haylo to come back as the next generation. Both named after their yellow longish spikey hair.

Thank you for the advice Lyssaria. We are getting a new computer which should be able to handle all that. (This one has been trying to die for a while.)Do you mind if I ask whether that is a real or adopted name, where it comes from and what it means? It is quite euphonius.

By the way, I accidentally deleted all my families, and I was so upset with myself! I have started 3 new families. I miss my lost ones.

No problem petra! Best of luck with your new computer and families smile

Thanks for the compliment on my name! If that was directed toward me, I can't be 100% sure because of how tired I am at the moment grin

The name was one I made up for myself mixing one of my nicknames Lyssa (short for Ilyssa) and ara from my middle name Cara. I meant to use Lyssara as my artistic name.. kind of like a pen name but for graphic art laugh

I signed up for a website and made a mistake on my account, so I had to sign up again and chose the name Lyssaria because it seemed to flow.. a 'ria'is a drowned river valley and I thought it sounded soothing. smile

I play two families and my darling plays three. Usually, one is enough for me but when the peeps get older, it may become VERY boring. So when one of the families has kids running around, the other one is in their middle fifties, and when they die I start a new generation... as soon as that generation starts, the one family gets older... so (sometimes with pausing one of them) i just try to keep one "old" and one "full of life" family at the same time.

With my woman it's the same, she also keeps it like this.

You go into the main screen click on your name, and where it says "new game" or something like that, click it and you can start a new family.

I now have three on the go and Marc my hubby has two. My first is on the 7th generation, my second is newish - about to start a second generation soon and my third is new today!

We used to keep a game section spare for one reason, that being if we're curious to see how a baby peep will look when older we can use that to flick through to find one who looks similar. Also to check out how certain types of clothing look etc.,
Marc noticed that baby peeps all look so incredibly cute but when they grow they can somehow have quite a mean look on their faces, and vice versa. Ones we think may be less lovable as adults he also used to check out. he said it helped him decide who was to inherit.

I've stopped that though LOL...how cruel am I? hehehehehe I now occupy that game space and he aint getting it back! laugh

Well, since I posted that back in June my memory has improved a little, perhaps. I've been running four families for several weeks now, and I started a fifth a little over a week ago; it's now on the second generation.

I ran five families at first but now only two. The others have been on pause for a long time. I find I have to keep written records of the two that I have in order to keep track of them. I don't want more. I like the personal attachment I can feel when I only have a couple of families.
