There is no way to change game speed in Virtual Families.

There is a way to speed up time. But no one in their right mind would reccomend it. It can-and will- mess up your computer. My advice: Unless you want your computer to be seriously messed up, DON'T CHANGE THE COMPUTER CLOCK!!!!!!!!!

Note that I've never done it and no villagers/families/fish/plants/pets where harmed in the making of this post. laugh

Different games will respond differently under those circumstances, ranging from minor statistics anomalies to killing whatever is living in the game. Virtual Families has a much more complex real-time engine than Fish Tycoon, and you're much more likely to see problems with it when adjusting the system clock.

While many people do adjust their system clocks to speed up play, doing so affects far more than just the games. Every application in your computer is affected, including the file system and Windows system applications. For all of those reasons, we do not recommend changing your computer's system clock to speed up game play.

I have to admit that when playing Fish Tycoon I would speed up the game. After doing that countless times my computer was way freaked out. It just isn't worth it unless you like having to reinstall programs. Sit back and just enjoy.

There have also been umpteen posts made in the forum over the years by people who've time-travelled and who want help because their game is messed up or they have more serious problems.

If someone suggests it's not a good idea to hit yourself over the head with a baseball bat you can't expect any sympathy when you decide to ignore them and then complain about a headache. Trust us. It's not worth it.

I did it once but only moved it up two hours and my computer spazzed out on me. I really don't recommend it to anyone. Arnie's right when he says it's not worth it.
