I tried to edit InventoryItem.png file from the images folder and now all the images from that file are showing with large white backgrounds in the game. What do I need to do to correct this?

Thank you!

Wendy

That happens when you edit the images in an editing program that cannot preserve their transparency. Many of the game's images are in a format that allows some areas of the image to be transparent. Editing those images in a graphics editing program that does not preserve transparency (such as Microsoft Paint) will replace the transparent areas of the image with opaque white areas. Restoring the lost transparency requires advanced image editing techniques, and it's usually simpler and faster to reinstall the game.

Please note, however, that you must reinstall the game from the same game site where you made your purchase. Installing any other version of the game will cause the game to revert to a trial version. If you wish to back up the games that you are playing first, as a precaution, see the link to the backup procedure provided below.

If you purchased the game directly from LDW, the easiest way to reinstall it is to download and install the free trial again. The game will remain registered, as long as you download and install the free trial from our site.

If the computer you wish to install the game on does not have an Internet connection, you can put the downloaded file on a CD or portable storage device and use that to install the game on the desired computer. If you purchased the game from another site, please check their policies and procedures, since other game distributors have varying policies with respect to installation and activation.

Thank you! I wanted to adjust some of the images and I had seen on the mod file forum that people were doing it, so, just like me, if it's got knobs, I have to mess with it! LOL
