I'll generally get the older generation to clean the house but if only one aged parent is left I'll usually leave any weeds at the far end of the garden to the new generation because they'll walk faster. I've never prepared a meal for the newcomers.

P.S. I'm a little worried how my new generation peep, Lavinia, is getting on while I'm stuck at work. She rejected her first proposal (he didn't want kids and also had not a very good job) and I had to leave for work before another one came in. I hope she's not too lonely alone in that big house.
