This has happened once before. But i waited a couple of minuets and it was fine. But this time it has been about an hour and VF still won't open. I either get this pop up,
error, access violation, 0x004eazfo,tried to read from
0x0000000004, program terminates. Or i get 2 pop ups in a row when i click, This display card does not support 800x600x16bpp,
then when i click ok, i get another pop up that says, could not open display, error code 0xc8660110. Any ideas ??
Like i said it has happend once before, but never this long.
I haven't changed anyhting on my computer. Oh, i normally do run it in the windowed mode, yesterday i switched to full screen. I did look at the trouble shooting section. They only had options for FT

I started playing VF in window mode a couple if weeks ago.
I haven't played any other game since . Yesterday i put it in full screen. I just checked my other games. I have most of the LDW games, none will work. My other games not from LDW will work, but will only come up in window mode. Even if i put them in full screen. They go right back to the smaller screen. I never have played a game in the windowed mode..... now i never will !

Arnie i looked in my hard drive and found VF, but when ever i clicked on any of them i can't open them .

I just turned my compter off, then started it again.......
everything is back to normal !! Thank Goodness !!!!!!
There should be some kind of warning about playing in full screen only. As i said i have always played in full screen. But with VF, it was so much easier to just minimize it. So i started playing in the windowed mode ...... never again !

There isn't a warning about that, because most computers can play our games just fine in either full-screen or windowed mode. However, there are some display settings that allow the games to be run only in one of the two modes (full-screen or windowed mode). The issue can usually be resolved quickly by changing the computer's display settings, but sometimes (particularly on older computers) the computer does not support the required settings to be able to run in both modes.

My comuter is only 3 years old. It has to have something to do with how often we turn off our computer..... not much .
Because as soon as i turned it off , then back on it was fine. All of my other games are working now too. I was rather upset this morning when none of LDW games were working and my other non LDW games would only work in windowed mode.....
Well at least now i know never play my games in window mode ever again ! That was very scary ! All of my games messed up

*grins at Tmac* The first thing I do when something goes wrong on my computer is turn it off, then hope the problem is fixed when I turn it back on
