I have no "new generation" button on any of my families, I have 4 going. I have had it in the past and used it but not now. I have version 1.00.01 I am playing it on windows xp. Need help on how to retrieve it.

The "New Generation" button will not appear until one or both parents have passed.

Ok thanks I thought I had done it before one had died but I must not have. Just never noticed it not showing up before.

Also, the latest version is 1.00.05, as described in this post, but pay attention to the notes in bold about getting the update from the same place you originally purchased the game.
