I'm not a programmer, but I see NO WAY that mods could affect your game in that way. Mods are simply changes to the *look* of the game - they don't change the code that affects the *actions* of the game.

Angela0125 all the mods do is change the look of the images in the game to make it look nicer. They don't affect the programming at all. I am a programmer/artist, so I am sure of what I'm telling you. The game simply isn't giving multiple births as often as it did before the last update. It did that to our game also. I use to get lots of multiples but haven't had one since the last update.

However if you still want to get rid of the modified images simply replace them with the orginal ones that were in the game. I advice all of you in my mod posts to FIRST save your orginal images before installing the mods just in case you may want to go back to the orginal or maybe even try making your own modification's to them.

Big hugs!

Simsane I had lots of multiples before the last update, and they stopped. Are you still getting lots of them with the .05 update? Just wondering, as I'm thinking about reinstalling the .04 back into my computer.

Hi Lewanda! Yea, I'm still getting them. The only thing I've noticed is that you know when you start a "new" generation and the peep is usually somewhere between 20 and 27? Well, if I buy the doctor's consult at least a quarter of them require a baby boost -- which I don't think was the case before, but I never had as many generations before I installed the .05 version either, so maybe it has something do with the fact that all my peeps are 3rd, 4th and 5th generations now and many have every upgrade I could possibly buy already -- which means I can afford the doctor's consult for no reason now and couldn't before. Maybe I would have found out the same thing if I had checked back when I didn't have any money.

But yea, I think I have had 5 or 6 sets of triplets (I will have to go look) and at least 3 or 4 sets of twins. Some of them were born to peeps that never got the baby boost and some were born to those that did. I uninstalled .04 completely and then reinstalled .05 too. Maybe it's just a fluke?

I have had five sets of twins, two in one generation, since I started using mods and all of them without the bb shot. I use the shot when the mother and fathers get past 40, and give it to both of them.

I don't understand it Simsane. I had multiples in almost every family until the last update. It may not have anything to do with the update...Still I don't understand why they'd just stop having them. I have a family that just started into the 6th generation and have deleted my other families. I just can't bring myself to delete this one though somehow. smile

I don't think the mods have something to do with that. It's just a question of a lucky moment for multiples to come. smile

I only use baby boost when it's needed - I mean, after a doctor's appointment. I tried to use once (without the prescription) and nothing happened. In fact, they had problems having kids after that. confused

What I noticed is that through the generations it is getting more difficult for them to have babies. Why this is happening I truly do not know.

For example, on my 1st family they had babies every time they tried. On my second they had problems, and now - on my 8th - I have to keep trying and trying for the babies to come.

I'm rather sure the chance of multiples has nothing to do with mods nor does it have anything to do with the update (1.00.05). As Moonlyght states in the above post, it's a question of luck. On 2 of my families, I've never had *any* sort of multiples. On 3 of them, (including my original family since 1.00.00) I have multiples *almost* every generation. I'd also like to note that my families are staggered as far as "new - post update" and "old - pre update".

Xray, I had multiples often before the .05 update. After that I had trouble even making them have single babies. I finally decided to revert back to the .04 version and have no more trouble with my peeps making babies. I've also had several sets of multiples since. The only problem I can see with the .04 version is that it messes up their names when they get promotions or go to college. Though as far as I'm concerned that is a small price to pay for the added ease in making babies.

Lewanda, My name is Xay, not Xray wink I understand your point, but I still don't believe that it has anything to do with the update. I think you are simply having trouble with multiples.
