Early on in one of my games a 63 year old guy had his wife die. He soon got an email and remarried. Has anyone else had this happen?

No, but Lady told me that only happens if they didnt have any kids.

yes, If you couple does not have children they can get marriage proposals after their spouse dies!

me too, but knowing my luck the family would end. i freak out about that and since im on my 5th and 6th generation, ive never had the courage to try it!

I've never had that happen mom91, but my peeps have always had kid, and from what I've read in the forum they can only remarry if they were childless. Big hugs!

They didn't have any kids. And when he remarried the 2nd wife was to old to have kids. It was sad when they both die and the game ended. The house just stays empty till you delete it. It is kind of eerie.

I have just had a new twist 3rd gen didn't have kids couple never got on wife died, husband remarried today husband died so his second wife remarried but she is 60 and her new husband is 59 I don't think there will be any children from this the 3rd union either have just put her to bed as she's exhausted given them both baby boost and am hoping against all odds we will have triplets or at least 1 baby naturally if not maybe a child will get adopted this time. Funny thing when wife no1 died she didn't no it she was walking around and i couldn't click on her. She wasn't on the detail screen or family income. logged out then back in and she was on the bed. Within 1 minute he got a marriage proposal but i did say the couple never got on.

Lol the family curse has struck i had put wife 2, who was married to her 2nd husband came on here to recount what happened went back and she too has died as yet no marriage proposal for her 2nd husband i can hope he gets one and his wife is 50 at the oldest.

I've had that happen too. My 1st generation husband died, and then his wife remarried. What happens on the family tree is the one who dies is replaced with the new guy.

If a couple is childless though, the whole game is lost. I think this is unfair

You could make a new family just to try it so you won't lose anything if they die out.
