I bought a dog with my first gen family and he has lived through 5+ generations now.. and I keep singing over and over in my head.
"The Dog that never dies, he just live on and on my friends. People started wondering, what has he done to live on and on like this. It's the Dog that never dies, he just lives on and on my friends."

The pets pop up in the store now and then. They're $500. I think they improve happiness, but don't quote me on that!!
The fish are always there after you buy the upgrade.

Personally, I bought ONE dog and thats been enough lol. Like you say, he is the energizer doggie, he keeps going and going and going. Sometimes he follows everyone around but it NEVER says anything about any interaction, like "pets poochies head" or "throws a bone for Fido", SO I quit getting pets...since I don't see much use for them lol. Guess $500 isn't bad though since they don't eat and you never have to take them to the vet LOL!

Wow you are a meanie lol. I am surprised it doesn't run away! Someone else said they touched it a few times (I am sure they didn't mean poke, poke poke lol \8' ) the dog ran through the hedges and didn't come back!

I quit buying the turtles because I kept mistaking them for collectables when they were in their shells.
Actually, I have decided not to buy pets for any future families (all my current ones have cats or dogs) because it is so sad to watch them following the people around, begging for attention only to be completely ignored. If they do run away, the families don't even miss them or look for them.

Actually, you can return him......when either the cat or turtle becomes available, click & purchase.....will ask if you wish to replace your current pet. And they do seem to be rather devoted little pets at times....often picking one member of the family to follow around. The cat scrathes the furniture.....that's something. AND yesterday my dog kept turning circles out in the years....a first for me.....looked just like the real thing....chasing his/her tail.
