Sorry if this has been asked and answered...I couldn't find an answer with the search...

If you train a child to do certain things (do dishes, take out garbage, etc) does that training stay with the child if you choose them to take over the house later?

Training them to be studious children doesn't seem to affect their career potential. That's about all I know.

Interesting. I wonder if you train a certain child or children in one area, and put notes in so you remember, you could then see if they do take over the house.

Since many are on 4th and 5th generations (not me, I'm still trying to make it to 3rd laugh )I thought I'd revisit this and see if anyone has noticed their VF kids retaining training after they take over the house?

It seems plausible but I don't know if it's in the program smile

I'm in my fifth generation in one of my families and I praised Logan all the time as a child when he was playing cook, when it became time for him to take over the house he was a knife sharpener (workshop job). He doesn't seem to be too industrius though, he's 36 and only midway through level three. He spends most of his time on the treadmill or playing pinball. All three rooms are fully upgraded (thank god for his workaholic grandparents, both masters $690 before age of forty). This is one of my two families that I have been trying to check out as many different jobs/salaries as possible.

I have to agree with maitoi and say definitely NOT. I have made notes on a few children, some that I trained to play office, some that as teenagers I trained to study endlessly, some I trained to be "health nuts" and none of it carried over into adulthood. I have to believe they are completely reset when we hit that second generation button.

I'm going to watch this thread and maybe Arthur will come in and explain it. I have searched and searched the forum and can't find the answer.

My families are making lots of money because I keep them working and I praise them when I set them at their work area. Eventually they will automatically go to work without me having to put them there.

Unfortunately the training doesn't stay with the kids. In my first families I thought it might, so I made sure to teach them to study from an early age. When my most studious peeps ended up as hackers and such I knew that was a waste of time. smile
