My daytrader started out at$105; he is now rank 3 but making $84--bad glitch..wanting to deleat game ..not playing to lose money.

That's how a day trader's income works. They make their money by risky trading in the stock market. It's not a bug.

Sometimes you'll get an event that will allow a person to change careers. *If* you get that event for that person, you could choose to change careers and see what happens. I haven't tried it myself, but hey! it's only a game, after all.

I also was quite surprised at my day trader too! originally earning $105 as a novice then dropping to $0.54 for second ranking and $0.84 for the third. He's now on his forth ranking and earning over $2,00. It didn't make much sense to me at all at first, until I relaized that the job of a day trader ( stock marketer ) really is like gambling. One minute you can be a big earner, the next earning a pittance.

what really infuriated me TWICE! was when he had an 'Infringement' email just three marks from promotion and lost every single bit of his progress for that level. I didn't half scold him I can tell you!! How DARE he do that not just to his family but to ME too! LOL...

Wouldn't mind so much but then he sent me an email saying he wanted different kind of groceries!

Which might well have been a blessing in disguise as he might have earned less at the higher level than before.
