What I mean is, what do you say in a thread that makes it a spoiler? I know that if you give the solution to a puzzle it's a spoiler, but since most of the trophies tell you what to do to get them, the solutions are mostly not spoilers, right? Or not right? I've seen threads where I think: Hm...why is this a spoiler? and others where I think "Shouldn't this be a spoiler?"

Are there any clear guidelines for what makes something a spoiler? I don't want to give anything away, but I do enjoy helping people.

I think there are some people that don't want to look at the trophies so they are supprised when they get one. therefore it would be a spoiler. Basically, if i am not sure whether or not something is a spoiler i put it in a spoiler tag. At first i didn't and a few of my posts were removed for spoilers. Anything that solves a puzzle or trophies. Or that gives away a special part of the game. Like for example the shed puzzle.

A spoiler is any info that will spoil a surprise or solution.

In VF spoilers would include solutions to puzzles, trophies, earnings, the location of the little red ball (which I still haven't found),things like that.

I try to mark topics SPOILER or Possible SPOILERS just to be on the cautious side. And if I am posting a clear solution I hide it with a spoiler tag.

I agree. "When in doubt, leave it out" is a good rule of thumb. Or, at least, use spoiler tags so folks have to make a special effort to see the answer. Also, don't post a simple answer in a thread that doesn't have "SPOILERS" in the heading.

How do I create a spoiler tag? I looked through the FAQ but there was nothing about it.
