When someone dies and you have the option to start a new generation, and you choose that option, what happens to the money that is in the bank? Should you spend it on upgrades or does it stay in the bank and now belong to the new generation?

Oh it stays in the bank, it goes to which ever child you choose to move into the house.

Are you sure about this because I went thru this once and I'm pretty sure $5000.00 disappeared when I chose a new generation?

Anyone else already experienced this?

Thanks!

namesdi, Hi, you money is supposed to carry on to the next generation, However there is a post were people were talking about what they were doing with their "rich" families and someone mentioned that her money wasn't carrying over to the next generation also. it is Here if you would like to look through it. What version do you have? the latest version is 1.00.05 You can find it on the menu screen in the left hand corner of your game.If you do not have the latest version (and did Not buy the game from LDW) you will have to contact the place you bought the game from to get the latest version. I hope this helps, I wonder how many other people are having this problem.

All of the money should transfer to the next gen I have five families most of which are on their 5th gen and the money has transferred every-time.

I have 1.00.05 and I purchased it here at LDW. I guess it is a glitch in my game. I'm going to wait and see what happens with my other families before I deside to uninstall the game and reinstall it.

Thanks for responding.

Yup ... or take a screenshot showing the amount in the bank *before* choosing a heir/ess, then take another screenshot right after if you notice the money has changed.

I wanted to come back here and write that it was my mistake. My money did carry over. I now see that when you are choosing your next generation it shows the amount of money in the previous generation's acct. (if that makes sense)

Yes, that is absolutely correct. The amount of money in the bank at the time you hit the Second Generation button becomes the amount of money the new "adoptee" brings with with them. The amount should be exactly the same for each child that is available to you for the second generation choice.
