I was down to one family member in one of my generations and suddenly I had two collectibles pop at once, a common and a rare. I had dropped my person on the common one before I saw the rare but immediately picked her up to drop her on the rare one. I noticed my money total increase by $5 when I picked her up and the collectible poofed.

I tried it again a couple of times, and sure enough, you make the money on the collectibles even if they never make it back to the office. Sure does save a lot of time waiting for them to walk around, especially when they're old and slow.

Yep, been doing that for a while now. It also makes it into the Collectibles dresser even if you don't let them take it all the way there because you want them to do something else.

Nice feature, isn't it?

Oh, and they can do that with Emptying the Trash too -- but not with picking up the wrappers, the socks or the weeds, unfortunately.

Same with some of the trophies - brushing hair, cleaning nightstand, turning off TV, etc. If you click on the person while they are on their way to do the action, you get the trophy credit, but they don't have to actually complete the action.

It doesn't work with returning the remote, either.

Even though it doesn't work with weeds, wrappers or socks, the peeps seem to drop those things where you picked them up. Pretty funny to see a weed growing in the hallway!

arnie's right, though, this doesn't work with the remote. My peeps just have to wait until everything else is done or the woman is "with child" before I have one of them pick it up.

They also don't have to be at the computer to do homework, take online tests, or do research. Both of my parents were working on their careers at the computers. All of the kids, four, came in to do homework, study, research papers, etc while their parents were on the computers. They just stood to the side, then did a little dance. They got their work done without ever touching the computers.

Oh, yes, you're right arnie. I just forgot about that one. And yea, azuma, I laughed the first time I noticed that a weed would "grow" in the house too!

I knew that you could get the trophies without actually having them carry through with doing the action, but I didn't realize that the teens could "use" the computers without actually using them! lol! Wish I could figure out how to do my work without actually having to do it too!

As I sit here playing with my computer, I am thinking about doing dishes. Do you think that when I walk out to my kitchen, it will be all sparkling clean with not a dirty dish in the sink--because I was "thinking about doing dishes"?? Would be so nice! LOL

My peeps spend a lot of time confused because I rarely return the remote after the fifth time. Once my parents are masters, I don't really care what they do for the most part, but I hate seeing them watch tv. It is rarely on in my own house so I figure they can do without it too.




Nope. I tried this all week with my dishes and laundry. Instead of an empty sink and hampers, we got empty cupboards and closets. If only my dishes and laundry were virtual...
