I tried nursing her back to health, but she must have been just too far gone. frown She was only in her 30s.

Their son managed to hang for a few more (VF) years, but kept getting hit with one illness after another, and I couldn't get him past "extremely weak." He died at 14. frown frown frown

I thought maybe the dad would get a matchmaking email, giving him the chance to remarry and have more kids, but he's 53 now and it hasn't happened yet. He keeps sending me emails telling me how lonely he is, I feel so bad for him!

So now what happens when my final peep dies? Because their only offspring is deceased, the "Next Generation" option isn't available on the Details page. It was there after his mom died, but when he died it went away.

you will have to start over. You no longer have anyone to pass the house to because your only child died. the only way a peep can get married again is if they had no children. Wait it out though because you might get an adoption event. then maybe you wont have to start over. *ill cross my fingers for you* I would love to know how everything turns out.. Good Luck

If the son gets sick like that again, use a doctor's consultation on him, he might have an infection.

Actually, he had the hiccups, then a headache, then a stomach ache, then a rash... all things that I cured, but they left him extremely weak. I did do a doctor's consult anyways, but it said that he was healthy (which he was at that point) even though he was extremely weak.

I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for the adoption event... this was the first family I started, and I've got all the upgrades (rooms and house), lots of trophies, and many collectibles. I don't want to have to start all over again, lol!

If the game is really that important to you, I suggest making a backup of your game. That way, if the adoption event doesn't come, you can just replay the game from this moment on, which means a second chance to get the adoption event. You can keep restarting the backed-up game, giving yourself chance after chance to get the adoption event.

To backup the game, just figure out which file belongs to it, and zip it up or just copy it over to a safe place. I think there's a sticky post somewhere that tells more about making backups.

I had a couple of peeps who were extremely weak; fortunately, they didn't pass away. I kept an eye on them, didn't let them work, put them to bed or on the hammock to rest and whenever vitamins or fruit were in the store they would get them.

mommyswenn, if he is only 53 there's always the chance that an adoptee will show up at the door, and/or he could get a marriage proposal. Them male's can still have babies at that age. Only the women stop being able to have them at 50.

mommyswenn, when you have a peep that keeps getting different syptoms after you've cured one or more there is usually an underlying infection. That is when you need to buy the docor's consultation. Also, if there health bar goes way down from being sick the guickest way to restore their health is by giving them all the fruit you can buy. I keep in at hand in my tooltray for emergency's.
