I'll start a new thread here instead of continuing the discussion in the "little red ball" thread, where it originated.

Ok, I created another user name. Now how do I access VF through that name? I don't see it in my list of programs for that name, though some of my other game programs from my original name are there. Do I need to download the game a second time on that user name? (Sorry, but I am very computer illiterate about these things, lol.)

Have you tried using the search option? Sometimes I miss it when browsing through the list, but searching for IT specifically makes it simple.

The user names are in the game itself. There are six slots where you can create a separate game. Just go to menu and they will be there.

Jenny, since you created the Windows user account after Virtual Families was installed, you may need to create the shortcut for it in the new user account. The easiest way is to navigate to \Program Files\Virtual Families and right-click on the game's program icon (make sure you don't accidentally click the uninstall icon), then select Create Shortcut. Drag that shortcut to a convenient place, such as your desktop. You can also refer to Windows help to learn how to set up programs in newly-created accounts.

I was going to do that, Lady, but VF is not listed in my programs for my new user name, like it is for my original name.

You need to look on your computer's hard drive to find the actual program file (usually in c:\Program Files\Virtual Families). Open My Computer and then open the hard drive and navigate to that folder. You will see it there.

Thank you again, Lady. I finally found the right program file and put a shortcut icon on my desktop for my new user name. I have two families started. Will do more tomorrow.
