Yes, if you praise them too often for the same thing they'll get annoyed and you'll see a "Stop nagging!" message appear as they run away.
Does the "nagging" response actually count as a "scolding", I wonder? The more times a peep is praised, the more likely they are to carry out that particular action, and the less likely in the case of scolding. In that case, by being too lavish by my praise have I negated the previously successful praising? When possible, I will play safe by starting them on the action (usually their career) and praising them once more.
