Hi all,

I was wondering, i have noticed a few times that the children in my game often play mommy or play Daddy.

i have praised them when i saw them doing it, because thought it may affect how strongly they would want children in the future, is that how is works or is it just a game they play?

Same as them playing office or playing cook, does encoruaging this behavior give them a head start when they get a job?

I'm not sure...I wondered the same thing!

I also wondered if you train them very well to prepare a meal, clean up after a meal, do dishes, water plants, etc...as children, will they retain that training if they are picked to take over the house at some point?

I haven't had a parent die since I began wondering but I will try to notice. And I hope if anyone else knows they will share! grin

Hi Seule and Bethlham,

It's a shame, but your little peeps don't retain anything you teach them as children. It is still good to teach them to do stuff like doing the cooking, taking out the garbage and such, as it frees mom and dad up to work on their careers.

I had a 13 year old that i caught "banging the dishes"!!! At that age I would think they would be a little old to do something like that. Maybe as they get older, even though still kids, they should find something else to do like.....boss around the younger siblings......LOL
