I just picked up one of the insects that I didn't have and instead of putting it in my collection drawer, my little person sold it. Granted I got $50.00 dollars for it but it was one of the two rare insects that I needed to complete the collection. This is my nighttime family in the 4th generation and I have been trying to complete my collections (I've been stuck at 46) for two days now. Anyone else have this happen?

Are you sure that it was one you didn't yet have? Because my peeps only sell collectibles if they are ones that I already have. If you're certain that it was one you didn't have, maybe you should post about it under the forum to report "bugs" in the game.

maitoi, check your collection if it is placed there. If you drop two peep on one collectible you're missing, one will place it to the drawer and the other one will sell it.

I'm only missing the purple bug and the dragonfly to complete all my collections so I'm sure that it was the purple bug. When I dropped my person on it the message was "found new rare collectable", however, the person ran right to the computer and sold it. It still hasn't shown up in my collections. Like I said, I've probably spent about 16 hours real time, setting off tropical rain and scrolling around continually when it's raining pretty much to the detriment of the rest of the family functions. I'm now in my fifth generation with this family and bugs show up soooo infrequently. I'll have to get busy and make a few babies. These two missing bugs are keeping me from two trophies.

That is strange; you may want to report it in bugs section. Which version do you have?
