No. I just pick the ones I think are cute. Sometimes I consider what the children will probably look like.

Once you have the six kids trophy, it doesn't matter if they want kids or not. They might not have six, but they'll have a few whether they want them or "no way!"

Likes and dislikes don't matter because you can change them.

Jobs don't matter past the second generation because you have too much money anyway.

So... I only go by what they look like.

I wasn't sure if they passed on their physical traits to the next generation or not, haven't really paid attention to that.

Not very picky. I feel bad rejecting them .-. I thought about being picky, but then I thought "How often in life does someone propose to you?" and I figured I shouldn't push my luck xDD

I try get the marriage trophies done. Either they are rich($200+) or poor($75-) or have the same job. Then I look if they want kids or not.

The most obvious trait they will pass on to their children is the color of their hair. I found that aspect of the game was pretty close to real life, or at least logical. I like it a lot. And the variety of people is great too.

I'm shallow: I go for looks and/or money. I don't worry in the least about the desire for children ... I don't have kids myself and it just doesn't matter to me.

And I've learned that even the 'no way!' peeps have no problem actually *having* kids - my first family had a 'no way!' gal and a 'maybe' guy and they ended up with SIX children (five natural and one adopted).

I always try to make sure the husband is older then the wife. I'll reject loads of proposals until the right age comes along.

Hey, they're my little pixels. I can do what I want with them. It's not like they're real, living people.

Yes, very! But it is entirely based on appearance, for me ...

Also, at the moment, I'm trying to get the "red head" gene to predominate across a couple of generations of one family, so have been holding out for red-headed spouses. So far, so good, as I have a whole crop of flame-haired rugrats!

I guess I'm really picky compared to ya'll then! LOL I spent probly 10 or 15 minutes looking for my first peep... She had to have at the least $90 salary, an art/graphics type career, had to want kids, a really cute hairstyle, and decent clothes. I knew I could change the clothes later, but I wanted something that I could deal with until then.
Then when the marriage proposals came in, I went through quite a few of those too... for most of the same reasons. Although I compromised on him a little due to the fact that I couln't just sit there and click thru til I found what I wanted... they were coming in too slowly and she wasn't getting any younger! LOL

Yes I'm picky. laugh

But I have to be less picky in VF than I do in VV because I don't know when the marriage proposals will run out, so I panic into taking the 2nd or 3rd at the worst if the first two aren't the hair colours I like.

I've spent 15 minutes choosing a character, too..lol. It's amazing to see all of the choices. I've got 3 player games going at the moment. I'm really loving this game. It's great!

I went through at least 5 or 6 proposals before finding one I could deal with.

When being picky how long does it take to get what you want especially when trying to get the perfect match trophy?

I am less picky with the spouse than with the original adoptee. I have spent 20 or more minutes clicking thru just to find a little pixel person who tugged at the heart strings. laugh
