Does all the training you do with you family carry over into the next generation? For instance if you have train someone to pick up socks or prepare meals, stuff kids can do before they go to college will they continue to do these things without training when they take over the house? I'd like to see some of our hard work carry over to the next generation including a portion of the parents work progress. Say the mother has a kitchen career and you had a child with one. If you choose that child then they would start at maybe 2 or 3 depending on how far the parents were when they died.

I've never seen anyone pick up a sock without my making them do it. Have you? It would be nice to be able to train them to do that. As for the rest, they seem to come "pre-loaded" with a menu of tasks that they do. Just put one to work on their career when they don't want to do that, and you will see a lot of alternate tasks roll out. Also, they start their careers at step one without carrying over any parent's accomplishments into the game, which corresponds pretty much to RL, don't you think?
