I also thought that maybe the older kids would come home, or come visit, or something. I had my first person die without warning (she hadn't even hit 60 yet) and her husband was left depressed. I realized he wasn't going to cheer up, and since I had been sort of attached to her myself (she was the original character I started with), I couldn't stand watching him by himself, so I started the next generation. But, where's Dad? I am wondering if daughter shipped him off to a home so she could have the house to herself. I prefer to think he is living at a retirement village and plays golf every day.
