One of my families (5 people) has been waking up with an upset stomach or hiccups the past two days. One was even a bit weak (but not sick). I consulted the doctor, but there are no infections. Is it just a coincidence, or is there a virus running loose?

I have to note that a while ago (a different generation), the fridge was left open, and I let them keep the food. Might it be related? I just told my second family to keep their food, so I hope not laugh

I wouldn't be surprised either way. One of the generations had problems conceiving from the start, and it turned out the girl needed baby boost. Loved the suspense laugh

I am still on my 1st generation. How do you get to choose if they throw food or keep it? I know I can get them to clean out the fridge, but the food points are always so high... Does it make a difference how often you buy more food?

Eh.. I probably should've put [SPOILER] in the thread title, but the fridge being left open was an event smile

Hi Vampess! The power outage didn't have anything to do with your little peeps sickness. If you say "keep the food" it always says it looks ok. It's happened several times in my games with no resulting problems. There are allergy and flu seasons in the game however, so I think that's the problem you're experiencing with your peeps at the present.

Probably the flu then (though I hadn't have any avents about it) laugh

The one that was a bit weak worries me though. Lots of food, everyone sick, and one weak without sickness. I'll keep an eye on it wink

I always keep some of the special fruit you can buy at the store, like the perfect bananas, and use it when someone feels weak, which only happened a couple times. But, their status went immediately from weak to happy. Had to feed one of them 2 things for that to happen, but it did work. Might give it a shot.

Yea, keep an eye on it. Twice now I've had similar circumstances (although both were before I installed version .05)where my peeps kept getting sick. I kept buying the medicine that would cure what they had, but every time I went back into that household, one or more of them was sick again. I consulted a doctor finally and one of them was "gravely" ill. That's when I finally noticed that his health bar was almost at the very bottom!

Course, this actually happened back when I only have version .01 and was really new to playing but even so, it's best to make sure you do keep a close eye on it cause even if the doctor doesn't say it's serious now, it could become that way. Good luck!

Another way to help your families when they are weak is to give them the multi vitamins that you can buy in store.

Only problem is you can only buy one at a time and have to wait till the store updates to see if you can buy more.

Yeah, I bought some fruit and multivitamins for the weak one. She got better though and no sickness during the day. The girl will go to college soon, so I guess I'll never know why she was weak smile
