Question 1: How fast is the aging process? Is it still 1 year = 1 hour?

Question 2: How long do mothers carry their babies?

Question 3: Is time skipping looked down upon?

i think and don't quote me but

1: 1 year 2 hours

2: going on the previous games maybe about 3 and a half hours.

3: Time skipping could be looked at as cheating, and plus it can really mess up Your computer

3. Not sure how this could mess up your computer but I can understand that LDW would not support the game if something happened due to this.

This could be looked at as cheating but we did buy the game and own it. Mods could be looked at as cheating too because some alter the way things look to make them easier to find, etc.

If I didn't have the money cheat in the sims I would never play the game or have bought it. I really do hate that some games don't let you play other parts of the game until you get a certain amount done like you can't play in relaxed mode until you finish the challenge mode. We bought the game and I feel that all parts should be open to people that want it. Other people could playing without the "cheats" so to say.

You may certainly do whatever you like while you're playing our games on your computer. However, be aware that the real-time engines in our games rely on an accurate system clock. If you want to "time-travel" to speed up game play, that's certainly your prerogative. There are ways to do it with minimal risk to the game's operation.

We don't offer support, though, for a game that's been messed up by time travel. You may also find that other applications on your computer will fail to function properly because of system clock changes. Among the applications known to malfunction or stop working altogether are email and calendaring programs, security suites and anti-virus software, and certain utilities that rely on accurate file system timestamps (every file on your computer is marked with several timestamps each time it is accessed or modified).

I have one computer in my test lab that I use for time-travel testing and nothing else. Computers are complex systems, and if you use them for anything more serious than as a game machine/toy, it's probably not a good idea to play around with the system clock. As long as you know what the risks are, you can make an informed decision.
