Hi everyone. I am using Combination's Database
by Clever Arts, and love it. But I was wondering if there was a program similar to that, but where you can put in a fish and see what you would get if you bred it with each fish?

For example, I'll breed a fish that will only live for a little while at my current tank level so I want to know the best way to breed it. It would be great to just put in the fish and have a list come up saying "if bred to this fish you will get this fish"

Is there anything like this out there?

The only things that I know of that come close to what you're looking for (on this site) are the spreadsheets that people have developed to track the fish combinations. The fins and bodies are on different sheets, but you can locate a body type (e.g. Spotanus) and look at the rows and columns and see what you'd get if you bred it with every other body type. It works the same way on the fins sheet. Buttoneer has shared his spreadsheet with this community, and it can be found in the Spoilers thread of the Fish Tycoon Guide.

Dragoon, Your program is great, but not exactly what I'm needing. I'm wanting to be able to put in the "I'm breeding a..." part, but leave the "with" part blank so that I can see the possible cobos. But I will be using your program. Thanks!

ladycfii, I think the spreadsheet thing would work if I could understand them! I'm horrible with that type of thing.

So you're looking for something that shows all the possible breeds that can come from A. Parents fin and A. Parents body? Not sure I understand, but I like ideas to incorporate into this program of mine.

I'll see what I can come up with.
