How do I make them sit down for a real meal? Every time I take them into the kitchen they just snack and if I keep repeating the motion they eventually get tired of trying to snack and do something else until I'm not looking and then they grab a snack.

I drop them onto the dinner table to make them prepare a meal. If I just drop them into the kitchen, there is no telling what they will do, but they won't prepare a meal. If I drop them onto the table though, they'll make a meal every time.

After preparing the meal like Norah said, I drag each person individually to the table.

What I've noticed is that it depends on their career as to where you must drag them. At first, I was just dragging them to the stove and, as long as they didn't have a "kitchen" career, that would get them making a meal. But I couldn't figure out how to get someone that had a kitchen career to actually make a meal. I asked Lady in a pm and she told me to drop that person on the table (as the others above have said) and that will let someone who has a "kitchen" career that you want them to make a meal instead of just look for snacks or work on their career.

Also if they don't have enough food, or a variety of food they will only snack.

Maybe in VF2 there can be recipes they can follow and that would require purchasing certain ingredients...to mix it up a little...have a little more fun in game.
