Does anyone know whether or not if the family pets die or not? I am on my second generation in two families and they still have the same pet. confused

As far as I know, based only on my experience with my own game, they don't. I bought my family pet when my first generation was young, and am about to be on my third, and my dog is still around. smile

I don't think so. Like Xray, I got the pets when the families were in first generation. A couple are now in 4th gen and the pets are still around.

Do you have to look after the pets in any way? I just bought a cat for my kids and I would hate for it to die of neglect.

No, Karen, I don't believe so.

No the pet just wanders round the house and occasionally sits on people.

You don't need to worry about looking after it, it apparently lives forever with no food...

lol Elizabeth. I'm in my first generation family (go me, I didn't restart yet) and I got a cat for them. For several hours it followed the dad around trying to trip him while he worked in the kitchen. I could just picture him trying to kick the cat out of the way with a lot of curse words.

How can you not expect it to live forever. You paid $500 for it. At that price it should live forever with no food, or attention.

LOL laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

Thank goodness, though. My seven year old just bought the dog for one of her families. She cries if someone squashes a spider (even though she won't stay in the same room as one) And she is the reason there are more animals than humans living in my house. I would hate to see her reaction if a virtual pet died. eek
