I did the same thing as Arnie. I had a young couple who were childless; in fact, they never even got an adoption opportunity.

The wife passed away at the young age of 61 and he remarried. The new wife passed away also AND he remarried. The third wife also passed away. LOL, I think he was doing something to them. He didn't receive another marriage proposal; I can understand why.
