Im wondering if parents can get remarried. Once one parent dies, I wait for a marriage proposal but i get nothing, can they get remarried?

i was wondering too, i had a woman live 6 yrs after her spouse died, but i never got a marriage proposal.

Re-marriage is possible, but only if the couple had no children.

I tested this out in a couple of games. On purpose I didn't let the couples try for babies. In one game I even turned away an orphan who showed up on the doorstep; I felt really hard-hearted then.

In both cases the survivor received and accepted proposals for a second marriage. However, since the new spouses were about the same age, the marriages only lasted a short time before they both died. Because there were no children to carry the game into the next generation, the game was over at that point.

I did the same thing as Arnie. I had a young couple who were childless; in fact, they never even got an adoption opportunity.

The wife passed away at the young age of 61 and he remarried. The new wife passed away also AND he remarried. The third wife also passed away. LOL, I think he was doing something to them. He didn't receive another marriage proposal; I can understand why.

Gee, Alan, I really don't remember. I was just so excited that he found love again so late in life. I don't think it was much because the game didn't have that much in the bank around $9 - 10K. And, I didn't buy a lot of stuff during the course of the game, just food, meds, fruit and sometimes the "Professional" books. Heck, I didn't even have the bathroom upgrade. Basically, this was a slot that I named "compound"; I actually started this slot as a test for the workshop wall. I wanted to see how long the peeps would keep at it.
