I played the demo, and i saved my files in back-up to play when the big fish games version came out. Now it has, I've downloaded it, and i went to replace the files when I noticed it was done in a very different way.. Is there anyway I can transfer them across?

I bought my game from LDW, then bought an additional one from Bigfish thinking that I could have 2 going at one. Nope, the Bigfish version completely wiped out my entire LDW game including all 5 families and all of their possessions!

You might be able to install both games as long as when it's installing it will have something like C:\Program Files\VirtualFamilies as the place where it is going to be installed. Before clicking next to install the game change the name to something like C:\Program Files\VirtualFamilies2. I think you could have actually done this with just the one game you purchased from LDW. A pity you wasted your money!

The savegames aren't stored in the program directory, so that wouldn't help with the problem. It would just take up more space on the hard drive, but the savegame files would be stored in the same folder in My Documents.
