Hi, I trained my family so one makes a meal and the others sit down and eat it. They will do it on their own when the game is running.

They don't seem to do it when the game is closed though because their hunger level stays the same as if they never had a meal.

Can anyone can confirm that people making meals and eating them will only take place when the game is running?

The new update has made some changes to this, I suppose wo we the players can have the joy of doing this activity more in game.

In fact, I don't know what they do when the game is closed because... it's closed!

I've been told they will not starve in game-off, so even though they might show a half bar when you open the game, they will not starve themselves. They'll snack to keep from being hungry. I'm not sure if they make meals either, but it was a fix from them stuffing themselves in game-off resulting in high food consumption, which cost a lot of money to replace the next day. It also could have caused food to run empty if they kept overeating.
