Hello, this is my first post here! smile

I am under the impression that my peeps have a bit more energy when I don't let the game open all day. So I check on them several times a day but each time when I'm done I close the game. I re-open it, say, 2 hours later when I have a minute and so on.

Did anyone notice it helps their energy levels a bit, or I am imagining things?

I don't have any energy level problems and I let them sleep at night, I am just wondering whether I'm doing this for nothing. I rather keep the game open all day! LOL

Thanks for your input.

I have mine open pretty much all day, and since the upgrade i have no problems with energy levels. I also check on mine when i wake up in the middle of the night. However, i am not saying that it isn't helping with your energy levels on your game. i just have nothing better to do all day, plus i absolutely love this game!!! WTG LDW!!!

Erm... I usually open the game in the morning as soon as I open my pc, check them every now and then while I'm mainly working. Then at nights, I switch to day time again and play with them for some hours. After that I pause the game and close till next day.

They tend to be tired at evenings (their evenings). I noticed that if I switch to day time when they begin to get tired they recover quickly and since the last update I never had any issues with the energy level.

I Haven't paused the game at all, the in game notifications pop up when I check on any of my families(with that I know I haven't missed anything important). I just make sure to leave them fully stocked with lots of food.

When I am on the computer I let the game run. Whatever else I'm doing, the game is running at the same time so I can check and see if it's raining. (Still trying to find those darn bugs!grin) I'm on the computer a lot during the day, so my game runs most of the time. I haven't noticed any problems with energy levels since downloading the newer versions. My peeps may get tired sometimes during the day, but a nap usually gets their energy level back up, and they will initiate naps on their own. They seem to get more tired around 8 or so at night. (As they should in my mind, I know I am!) If my computer is available and I don't have anything else going on, I like to watch off and on from 8 to just after 10. I think there is a little more loafing that goes on, even with workaholics. It’s like in real life, you work hard all day, you’re tired and want to relax, watch some TV, read the paper. There are also some night time activities I like to watch, and I like to see my peeps go to bed on their own.

I leave my game open when my computer is on, which is quite a bit. If I'm going away from it for a while, I'll exit the game so the notifications don't come up while I'm not there. I'm not sure if they stop the action. laugh

Sometimes I think their energy levels do increase if you exit the game, but I think that's it more a night thing - so if it's on during their day time I don't think it makes much difference. They seem to keep pretty well rested with naps.

I had a system going where my peeps would do a fair amount of work and still be running around like they were hyper all day.
I kept my game open today and their energy bar is near 50% now, at noon. They would only reach that level at around 8pm when I did let my game open. They would never need to nap.

I'll keep the experiment going for a while longer, maybe the bar at 50% it's just a coincidence.

It doesn't ruin the game at all, I was just curious to see if other people had notice the same thing. I started this family before the updates, and I know weird things have happened with those.

Maybe they are getting more tired as they age? Are they getting on in age? I noticed my parents getting more tired when they got older. And they do age a bit in 24 hours, so just a thought?

Or maybe they slept the wrong way last night. laugh

Maybe it's age, although they are only 40 right now. That's a good hypothesis, thanks.

From what I have noticed, age does seem to have an effect, but it seems to be more of a minor one; the more children they have seems to have an effect (could just be randomness too); time of day seems to have an effect -later in their day they are more likely to be tired. Health seems to have an effect - but I have seen extremely weak peeps have full energy after a good nights rest, they just move slower. Healthier peeps seem to have more energy over the course of the day (use of treadmill upgrade, feeding the fruit from the varied section of the store).

How many "upgrades" I have purcased seems to have an effect (the more 'recreational' upgrades seem to give them more areas to regain energy by rest/playtime - i.e. hammock, swimming pool, pinball).

Thanks Magesteff for your post hints, I have been focusing on upgrading my carrier rooms and have gotten very little house upgrades. I look forward to discover the effect they have on energy!

i dont believe shutting the game down or the computer off has anything to do with the energy levels, this game just like VV, runs even when not being played, just depends how many naps they take, if they stay full, how hard they work, etc

UnSaintly-- I have actually noticed full energy resotred if I leave them alone at night -- I put them all to bed, then shut the computer and check back on them the next day. They are fully rested. It does run on real time like VV but unlike VV where energy wasn't an issue, they do restore with sleep. But the key is to not open the game up again after they're tucked in ; ).
