I have all the collectibles except for the chinese coin, the whirly bird,2 picture pieces, and 5 of the insects. I have completed all the home repairs, and my kids are all off to college....except for the OOPS kid..lol.
Do all the coins appear in the same area? Same with nuts and berries? And picture pieces? The insects I have given up on, I get the ladybug and centipede and that is it when it is raining.
My oldest kid who left the house has got to be 24 or 25, he sent an email about looking for love....and there is still no button to start with a new family. My question is....is it just wait and one of them (your kids) start a new family, or would you be better off starting a new family?

Once one of the parents die, you will have options available to you. Part of the object of the game is to continue for many generations, improving and passing the house to children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and so on. smile

I usually keep mine going until there are no more people in the house, even if the parents both die and leave a kid alone. (assuming there is enough food for the kid to eat until he/she goes to college) While I am letting the kid age, I keep looking for collectables, (with more time to concentrate on just that, I have all collectables except 2 of the bugs now) and checking the store, that way, sometimes you can buy magazines or floor repair kits, etc, to have for the next adult, plus maybe new items available in the store by the time they move in. If you buy things your new adult doesn't need, you can always sell them back, except for groceries and upgrades.
