I'm only missing the dragonfly in my bug collection, but I havent found it yet and been playing the game since day one, it really begins to irritate me.

Wow! You're doing much better than I am. My oldest (started with the first release) game only has six bugs so far!

I'm not impatient about finding all the collections. We have generations to get them all. I've even sold the collections in a couple of games and starting again from scratch.

I'm missing three rare bugs in one of the families and one of them is the dragonfly. I didn't find it in any other family also.

I look at the collectable as a sort of supplementary min-come. I have sold one collection - 18 or so items, I believe - to a collector and made $ 850. I think it was a choice event! In any case, my family needed the money.

I hardly ever find insects ... coins are easy and plants are not too bad, but bugs are TOUGH!

I got the dragonfly once. It was with a family that I ended up deleting after I installed a new version, but yes, I did get it once.

Otherwise though, I have very few insects at all. They just never hardly show up, even during/right after it rains. I even downloaded a mod that would make items show up easier and I still have barely any bugs. Oh well, I actually agree with Lewanda in that we do have generations in which to complete the collections and I have also sold my collections about three different times now. The money helps and then you get to start all over again!

I have found the dragonfly twice and am starting my collections for the 3rd time. I have five families going right now and most of the collections are complete. I have found that if i buy the rainstorm in the bottle from the store, start a rain and just jump around from the 1-9 number keys I can clean up collection not only the bugs, but the coins and leaves as well!!!!

I don't understand this reference ... do you mean you use the number pad on your computer to move around (rather than a mouse), or do you mean something else?

I tried the number pad like they said and it took me to different parts of the yard and house. Cool. I was dragging people all over just to look at the yard.

Yes, you can use the numeric keys (keypad or in the top row of the keyboard) to zoom around the yard. It works similarly to VV2 and VV3.

I only just once found the dragonfly in one of my early gens. I didn't see it, it whas more like a coinsedence. Unfortunedly i delete that game to start all over

how do you sell the collections?
I know you can sell one item online if you already have it, but how do you sell an entire collection?

anetheil, you can't sell your collectibles any time you want, there's an event which gives you the option to sell them.

Also, if you're having trouble seeing them Jazzo and Borg made some great mods that are VERY helpful...My collecting greatly improved after downloading them. Especially for bugs.

I agree, with the bottled rain I always get at least one, more often two or three bugs.
I always keep a bottle of it on hand, but you have to move quickly when you use the bottled rain.

I swear my turtle is eating the bugs .... and the nuts!
