two things happened. i installed .05 and shortly after i got a message that wiped out my mans level 3 progress. now the ladys and the mans progress won't go forward. the lady keeps working and her progress has been near the end of level 3 all day. and his is still near the beginning of level 3.

Once a person reaches level 3 and higher, it takes significantly longer to make career progress.

I'm glad you let us know that, Lady. I am sure that I want to stick with .04 then. I don't like how long it takes now. I have only managed to have one make it clear to master and they didn't live long after they accomplished that. I realize that it should take a little bit longer for each level, but if version .05 makes it take even longer than the previous versions do, then I am glad I stopped at version .04, and I'm glad that you let us know. There hasn't been a change to career progress from .04 to .05. I was saying that career progress (promotion) takes much longer as the person reaches higher career levels. At level 1, career progress is very rapid, and significant progress is made with each successful work cycle. The amount of progress diminishes as career level goes up (a lot like trying to make master in VV).

Oh -- I misunderstood what you meant, sorry about that. So because I have version .04 installed right now, if I installed version .05 there wouldn't actually be any change in how quickly they progress up the career ladder. I see and yes, I remember that it took quite a long time to become a Master in a field in VV as well. Many of my little peeps never made it that far -- would have been a real problem with VV2 and the totems if they all had, wouldn't it?

eta -- I just remembered something about the totems. Didn't they only get a totem if there were a Master in three areas? Seems to me that's what gave them a totem but it's been so long since I played that I had forgotten that. Old age...
