I have cured the same person 2x now of Hiccups and I still havent got the trophy for it. I thought maybe the first time I moved her too quickly after curing her for it to register, but this time I left her alone. Also if I remember right usually the peep jumps up and down and waves when cured...she didnt do this either time?

I noticed the same Honcho, with two of my peeps! The difference I noticed with the one who did get the trophy went to the doctor. The next one who gets the hiccups has to visit the doctor first and only after that am I prepared to help him with the cure.

No doctor, no cure. I don't know if this is the answer, but I definitely will try it. Anyone else some suggestions?

Sometimes there is an underlying infection and getting rid of the hiccups doesn't actually cure the person. In those situations, you likely won't get the trophy, because the little person is still sick.

Wow I would have not thought to do that but sure enough she had an infection. There was nothing to indicate it...her health was fine, nothing saying she was sick, etc. At the same time I was treating her, one of the kids had a tummy ache. I gave him pepto and he popped up and ran off like he was fine. Out of curiosity I did a Dr. consult on him and he had a serious infection! I treated him and got the cured a gravely ill trophy. So I guess each time we get a sick peep it is worth it to check for infection in addition to treating them.

Only if they keep getting sick over and over. smile If you cure them and they stay healthy for a day or two, I wouldn't spend the money. smile

Thanks for posting this laugh

A cute little girl in my family was getting sick over and over, and I was getting suspicious, but reading this thread confirmed it. I paid the money for a doctor, and lo and behold, gravely ill. I'm glad she didn't have the chance to slip away overnight or something smile

I had stg else about hiccups. One of the kids was having hiccups, and I accidentally dropped him on the lawn. Then I immediately got the hiccup trophy, and the kid was also healed (without me doing anything). It was raining outside, and I said 'ok, maybe he swallowed some rain water, or the scare of falling cured him' smile

Something happened to me and my daughter both, this might have happened to you as well.
Click to reveal..
We had a peep with hiccups and before we could grab them and get them to the sink for water, their action bar said "Getting a drink". When we put them at the sink nothing happened, no cure or trophy, but their hiccups were gone. I was wondering, if the peeps decide themselves to get a drink before you pick them up and place them at the sink maybe you don't get the credit for it, they cured themselves. The trohpy does say "You helped someone cure hiccups."

Anyway, just a thought.

i had this with a sim who had another illness. used the doctor's consultation. a medicine was suggested but it said they couldn't help with hiccups. i cured the illness with the medicine. then sent him to the sink for a drink. the hiccups were cured but no trophy.

somebody else on the BF forum also had this problem.
