how do i know what version i am running and how can i update?

GO to the menu and in the left bottom side it shows the version you have. In order to update go to virtualfamilies.com and download (trial version) it will just load over your game files.

i have version 1.00.02. but when i purchased the full version i never had to enter my activation code, it told me to uninstall the demo version and re-install. everytime i did that i still never had to enter an activation code. should i still download the trial version? or how can i uninstall?

For me when you click download it won't download the trial version it just updates the version you have.

No, dbruno, if you purchased the game, then fill out this support form to reactivate your download in order to get the 1.00.05 version.

i sent an email and havent recieved one back. the email i am using wont accept emails from your address. is there another way i could get the update?
