I was just wondering if a couple with 6 kids, who had them quite early, would be able to have more after the oldest go off to college. Or does the "they have enough kids already" message still appear?

I have never recieved anyting by enough already message. I wonder though if the adopt a kid event could still happen?

I wonder that too, keri, especially since I think I saw a pic of a family tree that seemed to have more than 6 kids in one generation...

Six kids is the limit, whether birthed or adopted. Im on the third generation in two games and always get the message about no more room if I tried after six.

No, even after the kids go away to college you can't. It says you have enough kids! hehe. I think so when they come home and visit they have a bed

If you remember in one of the first versions, you couldn't have another baby until after the newest one was 3 or 4. I wonder if this was intentional so that you didn't have all your babies back to back leaving mom and pop to wander around all by themselves for a few years before you could start another generation.

Kinda makes a good argument for waiting a few years between kids! Poor mom and pop look so lost without their little family there.

I have 2 families right now where the parents are still kicking around (SLOWLY) and their youngest of 6 just went to college. It does make waiting a few years seem better. However in one of the families where the kids already went off to school the dad had time to become a master in his field and the mom is about 1/2 a day away from being a master.

I don't mind them out the door and mom being done with her childbearing time. I find once they've moved out you save more (not so many groceries? hehe) plus both parents have uninterrupted time to work on their careers. I've had a few of my fathers master a job but none of the women so far. I have one mom who is always doing nothing (grrr) so she's had 6 kids. It seems to be all she's willing to do. Now she's had 6, so it's back to work when she puts this one down!

My first gen family had 6 kids, and I dropped Dad on Mom, where they immediately shook their heads and the action line said something about there being enough kids. (When this happened, only the youngest was still at home)

In my second gen, Mom had 5 kids, started at Beginner Pastry Designer, and made it to Master Pastry Designer around 24 hours before she passed.

I have high hopes that my third gen will be just as great!

Somebody said they ended up with 7 children but when you went to the detail and family tabs they only had 6. She said she had 5 children and the left the child on the doorstep event came and instead of one child she had 2 at the door.

Is it 'possible' to have twins/triplets when you already have 5 kids?

Does the game know that you can only have a single baby to make the total of kids 6?

My first family got a set of twin girls after their first child. The the second gen, same family, got back to back twins (boys and girls) first and second try. Did not buy baby boost for either set. Did buy BB twice in one other family because I kept trying and took six years for their first. Finally gave the boost to the husband and wife (same time) no luck and took twelve years for second child, I no longer buy BB. No twins in the third gen of my first family, but then I have not received a set in any family after upgrading to 100.05.

Oh ya, fyi. Except for the family that was fertility challenged, hope that is the pc term, I have five-six kids in every gen including adopted ones. No problem having big families even after upgrade 100.05. Do you just have the one family? If so try creating a second.
