could someone tell me what the difference is between full version vs. demo of virtual families is?

The full version you get unlimited play the demo you can only play for one hour.

i have the mac version do you know what features are limited?

i downloaded the demo version and then bought the real version, i dont know how to uninstall the first version to run the full version. how do i do this? and how do i update?! help!

For windows at least and I am guessing its the same for mac you dont need to uninstall the demo just giving the unlock code will unlock it.

i have the mac version, i havent came to a screen or a place to enter an unlock code. is there somewhere i have to go to enter it or should it just pop up?

Drag the unwanted Mac-version to the trash bin, that's it.

okay i did that, how can i tell if im running the full version though?

If you can purchase medicine, or varied items in the store you are playing the full version. (You can only buy food in the demo version for Mac)

Once you're in the game; meaning the game must be running.

1. Click the orange Menu tab on the bottom left, that takes you to the main Menu/Options screen.
2. It's at the bottom left corner.
