Verona I just adopted as the next genoration. She was happy then. She was the youngest member. Howeverthe question is this

Verona has just had a baby and now she is suffering from depression and does nothing just stands there. When I got her to pick up a item to sell and once shes done that, then once again stands there in front of the computers action: Nothing. I give her a drink of tropical sun, to see if that might make her happy. She is still depressed and just stood there in the garden action: 'nothing' No matter were I put her in the house. just stays in one place. This is too upsetting as I don't know what to do to improve her happyness frown

However her husband is quite happy and is willing to do all the work.

So is this a glitch or what? I want to get to the bottom of Verona's unhappyness and here is a pick of her in this mood frown

Edit: Bit better but still sad frown

I haven't had that happen yet. But wondering if, after the baby changes to a child, maybe she will feel better, might go back to work, etc. Just a thought.

The only person I have had go into depression so far is an older person after their spouse died. They just wandered around the house "mourning". Finally, I just chose a child and moved on to the next generation.

Try praising her to lift her spirits.

Ann, what version are you running? I know there was a problem with the first versions with second generation peeps. If you're not running 1.00.04 I suggest you upgrade.

I am not sure but I started a new game as a new player second one down and that did not happen in the first one yet in the second genaration and also another thing I used the baby boost and It did not work.

Thank you arnie I thats the answer think I will do that. I'll download the upgrade as I did not know they had an upgrade. So maybe then the baby booster will work as well.

I had one family member who was 'depressed' after the death of another family member, but I decided to wait until his 7-yr old twins went off to college until I started a new generation.
One great way to get to the bottom of the problem is to click on 'details' and take a look at exactly what's causing the problem. Make sure there are plenty of different groceries in the fridge and that your peeps are well fed.
Buy lots of candy and fruit and feed it to them often; if their health is low, multivitamins and fruit will help them recover. If their bar shows 'a bit sick', it might help to give them the right medicine and give them a doctor's consultation if necessary.

Maybe she dislikes having a child.
