I have played through several Families, and have never caught anyone making a Latte or throwing out fish. Is there a way to know they are heading in that direction, or a way to stimulate the behavior?

Praise them when they say they are checking the food, as sometimes they find a rotten fish and throw it away.

I did happen to see one person on their way to the kitchen to "make latte", so I praised them and got that trophy.

I have never seen them 'check the food' either. I wonder if my game has a glitch. I have seen them do several other things in the kitchen, but not that.

I bought on day 1 and finally saw someone get the rotten fish yesterday.

When they say that they're going to check out a funky smell, that's when they'll throw out the fish. Be prepared.
