as much as I love all the games by LDW, Virtual Families is a disappointment to me. I was so hoping it would have been much better. Its quite boring and to think of the heights LDW could have went with this game. Maybe an update with alot more things to do? How about neighbors? Something to make it alot more interesting.

I'm not going to go so far as to say that the game was a disappointment, but I too think that there could have been a bit more interaction, like maybe a new event, such as you have a son/daughter (or brother/sister, depending on the case) has been evicted or cannot find a home, and needs a place to stay. You set up a cot in the living room or one of the bedrooms, and he/she works with the parent(s) for however long it takes him to get back on his feet. And maybe, when you switch generations, the other parent doesn't have to die, the next generation just takes care of them until they die of old age or something.
Overall, I enjoy the game very much smile .

I guess everyone has things that they want to see in the game. I think the game is very comparable to the other LDW games. Hopefully the creator will take in some ideas and make another sequel with some of those put in. (come on, you know there will be a sequel smile

Two things have been a challenge for me though and I'm hoping they will change it with this version.

1. The 4 hour store restock is much better but how about restocking when you buy something and have a slot open? That way people don't have to wait so long to solve the puzzles.

2. Speed. I do wish that the game had the speed feature in it. Sometimes I'd like to play a fast game and see what the whole game is about and sometimes I like to pause it and not miss anything. Please bring back the speed option.

I agree. I am sure there will be a sequel but it has to be alot better than this one. I also agree it needs a speed feature.

From my experience here on the Forums, LDW is very receptive of their fans' suggestions. Over the time that I've been here, I've seen where they added features to games or the sequel that were suggested here in the forums. Not that every suggestion will eventually be put in place because not all our requests are doable or the programming might mess up something else.

From Virtual Villagers 1 to VV3, you can see from the various threads that LDW added many features that were fan requested. IMHO, LDW seems to be the most responsive game developer.

LOL, I would love to see them take a page out of real life and have a really defiante kid that keeps them on their toes at all times! Maybe they could disappear on a road trip and come back with gauges is their ears and their lip pierced.

Really though, the only complaint I have is I would like to see more independent interactions between the family memebers. Sibs playing game together, mom and dad haveing a movie night, maybe an argument that has to be settled, groundings, bday parties etc.

Oh yea, and could you make it where the kids don't come into the parents bedroom and jump on the bed while they are trying to make a baby? Thats just creepy!

Keri,

The child being on the bed is easy to take care of. Just pick up the child and drop them on the toys in the kids' room. All better! laugh
