Hi, I have a Virtual Family of the 2nd generation. My mates had a daughter and some time today she died from lack of food. I'm just wondering if my mates (now 50 and 49) were not able to make another child would my game have to start over or will I have to adopt one for the next generation?

There are a couple of reasons they don't have babies...

You could try to get them to have a baby after...

It's not impossible, but it is unlikely, that a couple that old would be able to produce another child. If you take very good care of them, it's still possible. It's also possible that you will get lucky and an orphan event will occur in your game. Good luck!

Hi Nora, Your peeps can't have babies past the age of 50. It's best to keep them well fed. That's the first thing I do when I come into the game is buy food. I think the adoption thing is purely random. It'd probably be best if you just start over since you have no child to make a new generation with.

I wouldn't recommend starting over until the game forces her to do that. There's always hope until then.

If you only can have babies until a certain age I wish that they started out younger. Most people are between 24 and 29. If you adopt a 29 year old, it's hard to get them to have 6 kids.

That's why I try to adopt my first person as young as possible to help it along but I haven't made it past 4 people. I've only used the baby booster once on an older lady and it didn't work. I have one couple who are 55 and 51 now and they only had one child, I really wanted a second one but it didn't happen.

when the parents are 35, they are recommended by the doctor to use the baby boost. Until then, the baby boost doesn't really do much .

Well... I guess I will have to start over.. the spouse (man) died. :(I won't start over yet..but I probably will have to start over...

My 2nd generations families each only have one or two kids when my first generation families had about 4 each.
