I have a problem making more babies. the first one is easy right after getting married. Even the second one. But after that I get too soon to make a baby. I noticed that the second one was made after the first was 5 years old. The highest amount of kids I got to was 3. Ive had twins and triplets. But I wanted to get to six kids. Does anyone know how to do this.

Just keep trying as often as possible. You can also adopt if given the option. But keep in mind I have 5 families going, 3 of them on the second generation (but one of those JUST started) and of all of them only one set of twins and we have only made it to 6 kids twice.

Dragoness is right, you should wait a while after every time they say it's too soon/can't agree on having a baby, and then make them try again. If you keep doing that, you'll eventually succeed. I did that with one of my couples and they got 6 kids (all singles) in 9 or 10 years.

I made it to 6 kids with 2 adoptions, however i figured you can try again after the kids are about 3-4 yrs old...

I think it depends on the couple's preferences for having babies whether to "too soon" message comes up or not. If they both want babies, the interval will be a lot less than for a couple with "no way" in their preferences.

As to the "not sure if they're ready" messages, just keep trying, and eventually they'll kiss and make their way to the bedroom. Just be sure to look out for the message though, as the arguing sound effect carries on for a while even when they are on their way to make a baby.

I try to get them to make babies later in the afternoon so the mother can work most of the day, and rest during most of her non working time. Hard slave driver I am!

However, I find as they are more tired in the afternoon, the less success I've had with them having a baby. I seem to get them to have a baby a lot easier when they are more active & have heaps of energy, so keep persisting as everyone has said, and try during their more active times, at least from my experience.

A few couples I did have trouble getting to six children, but most times I did manage it unless the mother was an older mother at the start of the game. That only happened to me once.
